It Feels as if Your OCD or Anxiety Is Out of Control
Struggling with anxiety and OCD feels like living in a constant state of battle – your mind racing, your chest tight, your thoughts spinning in loops that won’t let go.
You’ve spent years trying to push through it, convincing yourself to “just stop overthinking,” only to feel even more frustrated when it doesn’t work.
Here’s the thing: anxiety and OCD don’t just disappear on their own, but that doesn’t mean you’re stuck. Real change is possible, and I’m here to help you get there.
A Warm, Compassionate Space for Healing & Growth
Imagine walking into a space where you can finally exhale – where you’re met with warmth, understanding, and zero judgment. That’s what I want therapy with me to feel like.
Whether you’re sitting across from me in my office or talking to me virtually, my goal is for you to feel safe, supported, and truly heard. No pressure, no expectations – just a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
We’ll laugh sometimes (because healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time), we’ll tackle the tough stuff with honesty and care, and most of all, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
What It’s Like to Work with Me
Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes or empty reassurance. It’s about doing the real work – learning how to quiet the mental noise, challenge self-doubt, and step into a more confident, empowered version of yourself.
I take a collaborative, down-to-earth approach to therapy. You won’t find me sitting silently, nodding vaguely, and asking, “And how does that make you feel?” a hundred times.
I’m engaged, present, and ready to provide real tools and strategies that work. We’ll challenge unhelpful thought patterns, practice new skills, and build the confidence you need to navigate life on your terms.
How We’ll Work Together
If you’re struggling with anxiety, we’ll work on breaking free from the fear that’s been holding you back.
I’ll teach you how to manage intrusive thoughts, setting boundaries, or learning how to stop second-guessing yourself at every turn.
If OCD is part of your story, I’ll guide you through evidence-based approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention to help you break the cycle of obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.
Above all, therapy with me is about empowerment. You are so much stronger than your anxiety wants you to believe, and my passion is helping you see that for yourself.
About Kelly Hint, LMHC
Why I Do This Work
I know what it’s like to feel stuck in your own mind, to struggle with self-doubt, to wonder if you’ll ever feel “normal.”
I get it – really, I do. I don’t just help people with anxiety and OCD; I’ve been there myself.
However, I also know the incredible freedom that comes from learning how to manage those struggles rather than letting them define you.
That’s why I do this work – because I know firsthand how life-changing it is to finally take back control.
My Experience
I am a licensed mental health counselor in New York, a nationally certified counselor, a nationally certified clinical mental health counselor, and an OCD specialist.
I’ve worked in just about every therapy setting imaginable: individual therapy, relationship therapy, group therapy, therapy in jails, therapy in colleges, and therapy in community mental health settings.
Now, with my own private practice, I get to work one-on-one with people like you to create real, lasting change.
When I’m Not Helping Clients
You can find me caring for my ever-growing collection of houseplants or spending time in nature.
I also love getting lost in a good book, playing with my dogs and chickens, or just hanging out with my family.
These little things bring me joy, just like it brings me joy to help people heal and grow.
